I downloaded an app called 3d jbenchmark from http://k750i.net. This app measures your java-enabled device´s 3d graphical performance After i got the results i noticed this:
.
.
other properties:
color screen: true
number of colors: 65536
Transperency (alpha): 256
double buffer: true
etc
etc

the app also identified my phone as w800 fw: r1n035, which is right.
What does this mean?
w800 can only run 3d graphics at 65536 colors?
is it an app problem?
or my w800 only really has 65536 colors?

thx

Hi,

I did the same test 1 week ago and I had 65000 colour too!!!

Strange!! Maybe its the application that is wrong?

I have a K750 and JBenchmark reports : "number of colors: 65536".

I think the midlet is wrong.

The K750i and W800i has a 265k screen but it will run using 65k color, unless you are viewing your pics fullscreen then the phone will display 265K colors.

Taken from the K750i and W800i whitepapers

I was reading some java specification for midp2, yesterday.

It says java applications can only use 16bit color depth. Which gives us 2 16 = 65536 colors.

So that application was actual testing phone capabilities in java applications.
