Very naughty but the built in isight is exactly what i have been wanting!

Hmmmmmm!

It is sooooooooooooo sexy! And that ipod remote has seriously made my day it has been a pain since selling my 4th gen ipod to not have a remote.

Posted by Luke-the-magic-man
Miss C I know what you mean I feel your pain here, I have my loving powerbook on my desk which is nice but like 3 years old and that powerbook is like wow (and the ipod radio) I may set up a similar project like sammy_boy

Mac OS X 10.4.4 is out today too:

http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/

Remember to run Disk Utility > Repair Permissions before and after installing. Also, for best results, download and install the Combo Updater, rather than just the 10.4.3 to 10.4.4 update.

Posted by Superluminova
Now theres so more reasons for me to switch, I think when my Vaio goes out of style i'll jump on the apple bandwagon

Posted by dicky

Just wondering, why is the 15 inch powerbook g4 still 1399, when the new mac book is only 1429, the only thing I can see that the powerbook has is a better screen, but in the mac book its still like 2x faster (asuming you get the 1.67ghz model) and you also it has a remote and isight built in etc, is there soemthing im missing?

Google Earth is now (officially) available for Mac:

also I left a couple of questions on your help thread

cheers for all the cool stuff

Apple removes QuickTime 7.0.4 Update

Without any reason given, Apple has removed the download link for QuickTime 7.0.4 and has posted QuickTime 7.0.1 Reinstaller.

Update: Apple has reposted QuickTime 7.0.4 via its Software Update utility.

weird

Posted by haynesycop
Hmmm i really do not know what to do, really want a macbook but doubt i would get decent cash for my powerbook. Prices are going to drop bigtime now.

Really want isight and to be able to use the remote.

(scratches head)

Posted by Luke-the-magic-man
hmmm, well I have a g4 titanium powerbook, last time I looked they werearound 600 oin the 2nd hand market, im sure your powerbook will do better

also this is apple products, ive never knows the price to drop dramatically, even the 4rd gen ipods are seling ofr around 90-120

Posted by haynesycop
well i currently have a powerbook g4 superdrive, 80gb hard drive, 512ram, etc etc

and if i wanted a new macbook with 1gb ram and 100gb hd it would cost around £1565 before student discount.

even less if i got a 80gb hd and standard ram, how much do you reckon i could get for my powerbook with 4 months warranty left on it just out of interest.

I have £330 from the sale of stuff on ebay so if i scrap my plans for a p990 this could be a real possibility.

Posted by batesie
keep your current lappie! and get a P990

Posted by haynesycop
i want the macbook pro more than a p990 though that is the thing, i could save up £500 in a couple of months so that could wait.

this is just tempting me sooooo much!

Posted by haynesycop
Oops! Double post, well my powerbook is now for sale if anybody is interested.

PM me!
