nokia is still making the same phones, bad phone, nothing new in this phone, extremly big, not for normal people.

This BT headset is beautiful!
I wish the 6650 would look from the same family.
This new 6650 is nice looking, but tooooo classy.

i agree with super g, the bt headset is stunning. and the phone would look good in silver

I don`t really get the idea of making such a big phone WITH an antenna. Otherwise the classy design is a result of the phone being in the 6XXX range. I am not complaining, but this phone should have had a cam in the front too right? Thougt that 3G allowed videoconferanse?
I am sure that our Finnish friends will release 3Gs in the 8XXX and 7XXX series soon. Look forward to SE`s 3G handsets...

Nokia: To Launch 3 More Color Display Phones By Year End
Thursday September 26, 8:03 am ET

HELSINKI -(Dow Jones)- Finnish Nokia Corp. , the world's largest maker of mobile phones, will launch three more mobile handsets with color display facilities by the end of the year, said Anssi Vanjoki, the vice president of Nokia's Mobile Phones division.
[...]
Vanjoki added that he expects the Nokia 6650 to be priced in the range of EUR250 to EUR750, depending on discounts at retailers.

That's similar to the pricing of other Nokia phone models in the same segment, such as the 7650. Media reports said the phone would be priced at about SEK8,000 (EUR1=SEK9.1116).

the new nokia bluetooth not bad......beautiful~!but i prefer HBH-60

That bluetooth headset looks quite good. But regarding to Nokia's bluetooth implementations so far, I for one wouldn't buy it until it has been tested.

There always seems to be some limitations when Nokia releases bluetooth stuff...

what i wanna know does japan have a full up and running 3g system where things like video conffrecing and watch tv on you phone works? if so does anyone have images of these phones?

Go check NTT DoCoMo webpage on FOMA, you'll find something.
The FOMA phones are very big (and have external antennas ) and ... 700 pages user's guide

But, it hasn't taken off as expected. It was too early. People don't feel like using videophones. I personally wouldn't like people to see me when I'm calling.

why only a 4096 colour screen?

Posted by Froddan
On these small screens, there isn't that much use for more colors than 4096. You can view a perfect picture with those colors on a small screen.
Of course it's not bad to have 65 000 colors, but the diff between 65 000 and 4096 is less than between 4096 and 256.

Posted by yapliren
the diff between 65 000 and 4096 is alot ! It is more then 60904. But the different between 4096 and 256 is just 3840 colors.

stupid nokia phone with useless antena !

Same old Nokia. How can that be a 3G handset. It look s**t and that its from the old days of mobile phones. Nokia will never learn; and even stupider people are going to buy them

And I meant the way a picture, on a 35x35mm screen looks like with different amount of colors.

On a 256 color screen, you can barely see what the pic is about.
On a 4096 color screen, it shows very clear.
On a 65 000 color screen, it's even better.

The diff in viewing is bigger if you take a step from 256 to a 4096 color screen, than if you upgrade from 4096 to 65 000.

Did this clear things out?
