Here's something i did'nt know and i bet i lot of you did'nt know either, the first item to sell on ebay was a broken laser pointer for £14.00 and it of course belonged to ebay's founder Pierre Omidyar.

eBay was created in September 1995,so its 10 years old now.Pierre originally called it "AuctionWeb" and the company name was Echo Bay,.."ebayAuctionWeb"was the domain name for the company.

In 1997 Pierre changed the company name to eBay and the rest they say is history.
