BANGALORE: Bharti Airtel and Google announced a strategic partnership that is expected to set new grounds in mobile search and help redefine the mobile internet in India.
As part of the agreement, Airtel will bring Google search to the Airtel Live mobile WAP portal. Google will also incorporate advertising through its Mobile Ads product on the Airtel Live mobile portal.
The Google search engine on Airtel Live mobile portal will enable Airtel users to use the Google search engine to easily access content. Google will power searches on Airtel Live in two areas on net (rich content on Airtel Live) and off net (Internet on Mobile).
Airtel Live has over 50,000 exclusive pieces of content including information like news, stock ticker and sports scores and downloadable content like games, music, video clips and wall papers.
Also, for customers who access the Internet through their mobile phone, Airtel will bring to them the power of Google in a format that makes mobile surfing an enjoyable experience.
Google will also incorporate Mobile Ads, which are text advertisements based on search terms that are displayed alongside search results on the Airtel Live mobile portal. This will enable advertisers to reach targeted users with their products and services on a cost-per-click basis. This new business model is a first for both consumers and businesses in India.
"In India, mobile is fast outgrowing the growth of PCs. Mobile users outnumber PC users in India by a factor of six. The first computing experience for the majority of Indians in the next few years will be on a mobile phone," said Manoj Kohli, president, Bharti Airtel Ltd. With this service, World Wide Web has literally converged into the handheld device enabling anytime, anywhere access to information and entertainment for Airtel customers," he added.

man it has been a long time since the first Post, things have changed Out here now try this Guyz,Man Hacking is Possible i Personally used for almost 10 months in Orissa during my college dayz, i Dont Know if it Works Now or
Not Coz i am With the same company who developed that wap gateway for airtel and we have tried our level best to Stop it.
1.Activate Airtel live (Free) or airtelWap (charge is Rs.99) in ur Mobile.
2.Make a Conection in ur Computer with the Same Airtel Live Settings
(U can do this by using Mobile Phone PC Suits Like Sony Ericsson & Nokia
PC Suits), For me its Sony Ericsson PC Suit.
3.Go to ur Computer Browser and Proxy Settings, use the Following IP
100.001.200.099:8080
4. Dial the Connection and Once Connected Do this
5. Open Airtel Live in ur Mobile Phone
(This fools the server to think that u r using WAP instead of Http)
6.Now type ny url and u will c inflow of data.
Now in most of the areas this Problem is solved by airtel, and to Over ride it again Try this
Now the server recognises the Handset with which u r browsing and determines the "Useragent" and lastly the Browser which the
specified handset uses !!!!
All our Internet Explorers also have "browser codes" or "Ids" if we can replace this code with the Handset code u r using then
Bingo.

oh i forgot to mention one thing
airtel just gave me 6 months of validity FREE OF CHARGE
last december i recharged with 495 for one year validity
2 months back one of my friend got a msg from airtle about an airtel messenger.
i didnt get that because i usually disables the push msg{they send annoying messages like new things in airtle live}
so i send an sms to activate the messenger
but my push msg was still off
so i didnt get any reply
but after some i just checked my balance and my validity just changed to june 2008
