As far as MO is concern …I agree that it’s facing hell lot of problems,
Now some sort of testing work is going on like implementation of EDGE and GPS based Navigation on Mobile handsets is going on.
Let’s hope for the best and AIRTEL will be back with a bang……
YA forget to ask you guys ...what if AIRTEL implements browsing fee for AIRTEL LIVE with full access to WAP sites ….!!!

many ppl bought lifetime sim's for the sole purpose of FREE gprs..
and when. Even the paid MO DOES not give good.. Speeds!! Y do v have to pay.. ?

otherwise ppl would have shifted to cellone or.. Hutch while cellone provides greater coverage. N cheaper gprs too.. Hutch sucks on the gprs part.. N call rates r dirt cheap
on hutch! Sms too..

The thing is that every major GPRS service provider is charging a small fee for browsing right guys so what’s wrong in Airtel for charging a small fee for browsing wap sites using AIRTEL LIVE .!!

no, there is no monthly plan on Hutch. just activate gprs. and call the cc and they will guide you to activate oneday plan. use the gprs settings of phone to you pc. (use the proxy that was in the phone). That's it.

I'm now independent from this GPRS tension. I'm paying Rs.300/- per month for the BSNL CDMA internet plan. Speed is always b/w 120-140kbps. Unlimited.

has BSNL started the wireless internet service for the EVDO cdma network card....??? they say it could provide for speeds up to 2.4Mbps........ if they provide a reasonable tariff.... i may look into it.....???
i am using bsnl gprs these days..... very stable at all times.....
MO sux..... to the core.....i won't recommend it to anyone......very high fluctuations in speed all the time..... surfing or downloading with MO is like hell to many....... speeds are so damn low & sometimes u won't get any response unless u reconnect.......
many ppl here have moved from airtel to idea & bsnl gprs......

Unfortunately EVDO network has to be there at every exchange,of which the number is very few..
and u cant 'roam' around a state like in gprs with bsnl cdma 1x/EVDO

hi people,
can anybody tell me what is speed of internet if we subscribe through cable operator.
My cable operator charge Rs. 1100/- for installation and 250/- P.M. for Rent Charge later. As i resides in a rented house. I would not like to invest in deposit or installation charges. But if speed is better than i consider it worth paying.
Although my cable operator are not fully aware by the term INTERNET SPEED thats why i am asking for the experts.

First of all at present there is nothng trick like stuff is presnt in airtel.
Free gprs is none of trick but a HONEYPOT provided by airtel for more revenue and now (as always) its closed to maintain d diversity btween free n paid gprs n to make paid gprs subscriber feel happy...

let me post my experience with hutch gprs . . Its blazing fast and speeds are constant throughout the day. . And by configuring proxy you can browse on pc. . But the data rates are really a rip off and they dont have any monthly unlimited plan. . Nowadays i dont get the typical edge speeds with AIRTEL mobile office even during early hours of morning. . Possibly due to increasing gprs users . . Mainly coz they dont face any competition or an equivalent plan from other service providers. In a way i guess airtel has only increased its revenue by patching the free gprs loophole. . I dont like this. Lol
