hey why did they suddenly stopped nop???? here in karnataka its still there. But now i am scared that they will stop here too. Between i am facing a new problem. today i downloaded a couple of softwares using IDM through nop. After downloading i tried to install the softwares but both softwares was corupt. Then i downloaded the same softwares through free gprs. This time both the softwares got installed without any problems. HOW IS THISS POSSIBLE????

Even I also heard about username/password trick. Some of my friends were saying that using a special username and password in A'tel live settings, we can use live APN like MO. But no one knows that username and password. So I'm hoping that its just a rumor.

Dude, don't focus your mind to only GPRS and A'tel. There are many other ways. CDMA is a better option than normal GPRS.

NOP had stopped workin wit my frnds too here in Punjab. When they called cc they (cc) said only those users can use NOP who would get a SMS from Airtel. But i asked my frnd to send a sms again 4 activation of NOP. He got sum error msg. But when he again sent msg after sum time, NOP had been activated this time. So i suggest u ppl to do same. Send sms request again until u get it activated

For activation of NOP here we send NOP to 696 n for deactivation DNOP to 696. N yes me n my cousin r not sure tat whether he has subscribed 4 MO when he sent msg 4 activation of NOP. But i guess he has subscribed 4 MO also when he sent msg 4 NOP activation. So u guys can check it by activating MO 4 one day

Anyway even if the card has no validity until n unless u have currency in it it works!!
N karnataka u hAve a recharge voucher 400RC wich give u talktime of 20 and 2 yrs validity!!

And here in karnataka we have to send AO to 6333 for the activation of nop. AO ACTV to 222 doesnt work for prepaid users, i think its for postpaid users.

dude, there is no connection b/w GPRS of GSM technology and CDMA. Just Ask JE(Junior Engineer) about the WLL Landline service. Its product name is "BSNL-Tarang". If its available in your area(it should be), then you can surely get it.

Dude, I never faced that prob with proxifier. All downloads worked fine for me.. While using download manager, try downloading files as a single part without splitting..

In M'rashtra, one needs to call 56561 to act Gprs, 56562 to deact it, 56563 to act NOP and 56564 to deact it. such an inconvinent method. ArtL assures that it takes 24 hrs to act or deact GPRS or NOP. But trust me, it takes more than 72 hrs for the fckrs and gandu ppl sitting at the tech dept to do this "manually".

@fun2sh hey its not a bug. The thing is if you download a file with more than two segments using nop and proxifier the file will not be downloaded properly and it will become corrupt. I have tested with many other download manager but the result is same. So as jingboyx said earlier you should download a file with only one segment. But sometimes in idm downloading stops in the midway. So for time being i am using another download manager called Hi Download. It gives good speed when downloading in single segment.

I was using flashget and downloaded files as single segment and it worked. And files that i dloaded thru opera also worked. And i wasnt able to send sms to 6333 ... it says sending failed.

I think 6333 is for Karnataka only. For TamilNadu, there may be a different number.

i've downloaded geexbox in 2 parts and its working fine. some large images in parts and they r also OK.
I always download youtube videos in single section, so that I could play them without completly downloading but when i read about the problems here i downloaded some in many sections and they r all fine so ?????

Hey we also got this rumour in Punjab sum days ago. Ppl were saying tat a call cums from number 000 or 888 wit red light on screen n if any1 picks it he gets mad or even dies. Oh god. When at this point of time india is moving towards 3g, one shouldn't care about such rumours. They are all false information. Logically and scientifically such a thing doesn't hold true. If such things are happening then if we look at the scientific perspective then in such calls they may be sending sound signals of higher frequency which could be affecting the nervous system causing neurological problem. Possibley. And am waiting to receive such a call.

The sound quality of z550i and k750i are one the same and I must say its good. But the earplugs they provide is not as good as the walkman series ones but still far better than the nokia ones. K750i certainly has better camera(Best in that price range. nothing beats it.). So K750 wins.
And come on dude ...Where is 6600??? Its totally outdated with a crap camera and crap mono audio playback. Even the roadside ones sound better than that. lol.
The sound quality of n70 and z550 should be similar. Not much diff there.
I suggest u to go for k750i+ earphone socket adapter+creative zen series earplugs.

k750i 2mp cam is one of d best ever. it has autofocus . only downside for k750 is its crappy joystick . . otherwise it has a good set of features. z550i is cheaper , supports m2 card, nice dpad instead of joystick. but the cam is only average . . 1.3 mp. and if you thinkin of EDGE, get my fone:)
W300i . . it costs 8.4k now . walkman brand, comes with 256 m2 card, EDGE, nice earphones, gr8 battery life and decent sound. downside is. . smaller display 128 x 160 , vga cam but quality is pretty decent.
