hai, here are Samsung X100 settings in screenshot. Most of the samsung phones have same settings. with these settings i was surfed airtel live on my mobile.

Hi se7en,
Change the port as 8080. Also change the bearer as "GPRS First"
Most importantly, go to the Properties window of your dial-up connection and under Security tab select "Typical (recommended settings).
Under "Validate my identity as follows:" select "Allow unsecured password"
Also, under the Options tab , "Include windows logon domain" should NOT be checked.
Try these and tell me if it worked.

In Samsung phones, only 9201 works. It doesn't respond to 8080.

Even i am gettin ppp link error.And i have registered of course by callin cc.They must not be allowin to connect since service is only for airtel site. Somebody plz tell me wat to do.I am on 6600,so the spartan airtel live method is not workin as it does not dial 2nd acc

Somebody was askin abt free sms.Well there are a couple of methods.One is to download a java app smsbox.It registers your no and sends u password.You can send limited amount of free sms.But nevermind,next time giv friend's no,jus ask him password he recieved,and u can use his no! This is great for pranks too.Imagine from your mobile u can send sms from unlimited nos! It uses gprs to send sms.

Yes. This method works perfectly(infact even better than Airtel Live) using APN airtelwap.com. I am accessing internet using my Airtel Online subscription. Just dial and configure proxy ip & port in ur browser (use Firefox or Opera)and u r done.

Usally ppp error comes for authentication issues. But one thing, I was also a user of 6600 and I bought 6630 5 days ago. Before that, I had no problems to get authenticated. Only problem was whenever I was trying to access other sites, I was getting "Forbidden Error" in 6600 using airtelfun.com APN. So I was using airtelwap.com APN to connect and it was working perfectly(now also iam using that).
Now, first of all, are u able to browse Airtel Live Portal on your phone?
Anyways, I will try other methods on my 6600 and post you the results.

Now open any site other than airtel live in ur mobile. You will get "No server Access". Don't bother about it. Close wap browser in ur mobile. Now just open any site in ur pc and it will open(in between, don't disconnect your dialup connection)

.99 and port 8080 not workin. My basic prob is i cant establish connection bet pc and phone,errors come. I understood all steps after that.

Usual way of connecting via Airtel Live
1) When you get authenticated, you can browse only airtel live, yahoo sites.
2) When you try other sites, you will get a HTTP:403 error in Firefox & Opera(IE doesn't say other than a error prompt)
3) To get full access in pc(ur pc must be connected to mobile and dialup connection must be established), you have to first open any bookmark in ur mobile. It will not open and give u a "No server access" error. Just close ur browser in phone and start using internet in PC. It works 100% here in 6600 & 6630.

Please tell us ur Airtel Circle. In karnataka circle, 100.1.200.16:80 doesn't work. So I am using 100.1.200.99:8080

So now I can think that the connectivity problem is solved. But again, when compared with 6630, 6600 gives very low speed. That's why now I am using 6630. I get only 2 to 2.5KBps in 6600 whereas in 6630, I get 5 to 7KBps.

I am using IVT BlueSoleil bluetooth dongle. But really, GPRS speed in my location is really slow. Yes 6630 has class 10 GPRS that's why I get more speed than 6600. In mornings, the speed goes upto 11 to 12KBps.

I got DKU-2 cable with 6630. So I will try using that. I have heard that in MadhyaPradesh, you can use airtelgprs.com APN(which is used to access mobile office). But here it's not possible. Are u able to login using that APN?

Dear friends,
I just comapred the connection speeds of BT & cable and I found there is no speed difference in GPRS speeds. The only difference is when u connect via BT, computer shows connection speed as 115kbps whereas in DKU-2 cable, it shows 460.8 kbps.
