@volt, bad luck dear. Net is acting from last few days. Sometime it is on and sometime it goes off. Maybe u tried always on downtime. It was working on today evening with good speed and speed was so nice. I surf almost 300 MB in just 3hr and 30 mins. So just keep checking. If it works again please post here to let us know. Same settings dear.

my helo to everyone specaily@alands, jingaboxs and creater of this thread great SPARTEN .... m first time posting ne reply here n moreover i jst registered b4 few seconds and my main reason for this to help u all and getting help from some genious here at to became this thread running long-lifely. u know what i wana to say that a*t*l become wise now. but one thing i wana to say to u all that a*t*l is not able to block us till now!!!!!!!!!!!! ya its truth. they only temporary fix there bug(system fault) and for the kind information of ur all "mostly servers in india hav so many drawbacks in them(which are due to many reasons)" i dont said that it is only in india but in india too! and if v talking abt a*t*l then if they wana do parmanently fix this bug(fr** gp*s) then they must have to shut-down there server atleast for 1 day (may b more) which cant b possible for a huge and reputed company like a*t*l. in thesedays they hav do sumthing like this that during peak hours they slow down there a*t*lfun server so that browsing bcome too slow even in mobile too. even a*t*llive page is opened too slow and if v do tunnling in mobile to activate n*p then wap pages are slowed down patheticly even in opera mini too. then if v connect it through p.c then it becomes almost dead and stop respondind. but at night (12) to morning (10-11) it runs perfectly even with more speed.. it is not the reason that a*t*l servers are able to sort out that who are connected through p.c. (dailing *99***1#)and who are through mobile.. at this time this is sufficient n i further move aftr ur "REVIEWS ON MY THEORY" and sorry if i said anything wrong(if yes then plzz plzz correct me) and hurt anyone.. bdw i m readind this thread from last six months n using fr** gp*S frm last 9-10 months and here sthe screen shot of my desktop when i m browsing at an awesome speed of upto11.7 kBps (96kbps) with my se 500i.. bye-bye tc all and ans. me soon

You may be right dude. But nowadays, pages are loading very fast on mobile when this trick is blocked(yesterday I checked the speed by downloading a 1MB file in phone using Opera and it was showing 4.1KBps throughout the download). So I think they might have found a solution for this
BUT
as we all know, A'tel is using this free GPRS as a business trick. Bcoz of this gprs, they gained lot of new customers + (old customers who were planning to move to other networks)(even I was also planning to move to Hutch last year) and if they block this, obviously,they will loose them and A'tel doesn't want this to happen.

It seems like a browser issue to me. I use gmail regularly without any problems. I use firefox 2.0 . Try clearing cache and cookies, or try another browser

I planned to purchased 1 GB too with my mobile on 19th Oct when I buy Mobile. But New Edition i.e. 6630 Limited Edition now give 128 MB DV-RSMMC so I didnt buy it. Anyway It was costing me Rs. 1350+ 4 % VAT with 5 yrs Warranty in Calcutta here.

@zolo, I'm facing a strange problem in my cell 'MEMORY FULL' sometime it restart automatically. Especially when I'm browsing with opera. Hard to do any multi task. Same things I do fine in my friends 6600, 6670 and 3230. What could be the solution? Should I format it?

guys, for the last few days when we were unable to access a**t*l in****et on pc , i tried changing browser identification and voila !! It worked. So ?? , A**t*l people are definitly becoming a bit smarter.
what I have deduced is that they block the browsers sometimes and sometimes not , perhaps they are experimenting. They block IE,Opera & Firefox(Mozilla) for sure because none of them works, but Netscape and anything else works fine.

Here is an add-on for firefox to easily switch browser identities back and forth or even define a custom one .

On flashget, there is a way to manually define user agent...tools>options>protocol. so i guess that should make it work.

@manoj no need to format the phone dude. . . This is a major flaw in nokia 6630 6600 6670 6680 6681. . . Low ram. . . Only 8mb of free ram available for applications. . . Opera itself takes upto 4mb. . . . And keeps on mounting as you go on browsing. . . . So dont even think of multi tasking more than one app when opera is running. . . It will close down opera. . But if you have an application called "taskman" you could free up more space in your ram so install it. just make sure that you have installed opera in your memory card. . . And have atleast 10mb of free space left on your card. . . . This space is needed to store the browser cache files. . . . And importantly whenever you get the message "MEMORY FULL" select tools private data and clear your cache and cookies. . . This should prevent the phone from restarting. . .

@zolo, Yes, I thought so. But 6600, 6670 and 3230 works fine. These slow processor phone has more RAM than my new version phone. I'm sure that they doesnt has more RAM but they dont act like that. My opera 8 is already install in memory card, I removed previously loaded 8.65 I feel 8 is quiet better. Net front doesn't has this problem. But net front associate text file with itself, which I want to open with default application. How to do that? Any idea?
I've system explorer installed in phone and it has a taskman showing running task. Is it safe to close any task?

there's a feature of bridging connections but it works only for high speed connections not for connections where one dials to a modem like this trick. So you can't merge three airtel gprs.

I can't seem to be able to login to certain sites, namely www.ipmart-forum.com (which used to be www.iphone-forum.org) and www.fullmaza.com. I try to login and it say 'Redirecting, please wait' but i get back to the main page as guest!
I tried using opera, internet explorer and firefox. tried deleting cache and cookies but still doesn't work! I am using the free gprs trick courtesy of the great Spartan but neither it works on my phone nor my pc. it used to work efficiently but not anymore.
But today I went to a cyber-cafe (they use subscribed Airtel Gprs) and it was working! so i think Airtel has somehow blocked certain sites.
So please, Alands, Dheeraj Jingybox and anyone else who can help, please do! Will be much appreciated guys!

its nothing to do with google or orkut.. the problem is with 128 bit encripted sites.. any sites with 128 bit encription has a lot of security bits with makes their sites quit heavy and needs exra convrsation with the server so it makes it slower and slugish..it might not work with slower connections....

hey guys if u feel that logging to orkut & gmail is cookies, cache problem then why dont u try portable firefox ?? install it in any folder (it makes all the refrences in that folder only,all cookies & all,that's why its called portable)
and if any time u start facing problems then simply delete that folder and make a fresh install !! , it only takes a minute ! Frankly, i never faced any problems with orkut using this trick .

I ve tried many ways of bridging 2 dial ups... but its just not possible. It seems like windows itself has got some restrictions on that. I tried using wingate and midpoint companion. Even though those apps claim to bridge 2 connections, the traffic passes thru one connection only. I heard has33 knows a way of getting this to work by using wingate, but i have no clue on that.

there r some session related problem with free gprs. even i face lots of problem when i try to logon desi-tek.
use http tunnel to access gmail just for once than u would be able to access gmail without any problem.
airtel is giving free gprs with lots of restriction.

wow! finally i got the high speed from yesterday. my phone is Samsung X700(with EDGE) and i am getting 15kbps average speed on downloads. This happens from yesterday. perior to this i get only 6-7kbps. i am in Tn and my city is not EDGE enabled. i think airtel guys make some changes.

Guys...I don't check this thread often as I don't mind paying Rs.7/. every day 4 my Mobile office as I download abt a GB between 6:00am & 10.00pm every day & another GB between 10:00pm & 6:00am everyday...Thats right 2GB or more every day.

Well I ve a K-JAM & a W300...both EDGE enabled...brigded them through wingate...get abt 25kB/sec each...also ve 2 TATA WLL walkys, which give free net usage between 10:00pm to 6:00am...so I get a download speed of 50kByte/sec in the day & 82kB/sec in the night, using all the 4 phones brigded through wingate.
Configrating Wingate ain't very difficult...only confusing & the most imp thing is having all the diff dial-ups on diff modems like my K-jam is a FIR wm5 modem, W300 is on
:BT: modem, 1 Tata is a LG USB modem & the other Tata is on the Acesstel Serial port modem...it won't work if U ve 2 same modems like 2 Nokia modems.
So whoever is having trouble configering wingate cam PM me their messanger ID & the time they can get online...I perfer netime between 6:00am & 10:00pm.

@Dheeraj...I ve 2 Bb connections installed aswell...7 star @ 512 kilo Byte/sec (13000MB limited in a yr 4 Rs.5200/. So I use it when I need) & Hathway @ 256kB/sec (unlimited @ 990/month. Its installed but not active as I don't need it)...I get a download speeds of 65k"B"yte/sec & 32kB/sec respectively.
So U C airtel & tata workout way cheaper & faster.

Hello, guys! I'm in Delhi (east delhi), using trick, sometimes it works, sometimes no... longest session i had - 1.5 hourss, but usually data stops flowing much earlier, & i'm getting reply "no proxy responce".
Most of time during a day GPRS not available at all (not available/busy).
Dl speed - 4 kb/sec max, phone - Nokia 6600 (sucks a lot, i guess).
Is it any sense in moving to postpaid and getting MO for 500 Rs/month? will it be more stable, or faster, than my current `tricked` connection? Will my IM (icq) work with MO? Is MO better than f*ckin' NOP?

Have you set ur browser to use wingate proxy localhost:80? And do we really need to start vpn engine? The prob i am facing is with dns and i cant browse thru wingate proxy even thru a single connection. Wingate is unable to use Airtel dns and my dns log is just a pile of bounce request errors.

Wingate runs its own http proxy. On wingate, configure the www proxy server service to use Airtel proxy. Then set ur browser http proxy to localhost and port to 80 . Anyway, it didn't work for me coz of dns problem. Will have to wait for has33's post.
