I HAVE FOUND SOMETHING ACCIDENTALLY AND I WANNA SHARE WITH U GUYS!!!!! I dunno if u guys knew it already.
This is how u get access to one of ?????airtel????? file servers and download the contents for free ( i dunno if it belongs to airtel, it says ericsson on its pages. So i dunno if it belongs to airtel)
1) Dial up on the pc using airtelfun.com APN
2) Set up your pc browser proxy to 100.1.200.213 and port to 8080
3) now try navigating to any web address and you will end up in the parent directory of a file server!!!! Downloads from here are not charged...

It doesn't seem like an Airtel server and neither does it contain any of the Airtel live contents. . . It might be one of Airtel test servers i suppose. .

Thanks a lot friends. So you are saying that I can e-recharge that sim from Karnataka too. But the difference is 250 and 274. Yes I'm bringing that SIM just for Internet. I think its best to opt for 2000/year as it costs just Rs.167 per month. I'll soon post my actions.

regarding the (free sms centre number) i got this no from my frends mob.... he can send (free sms to airtel sims)....but when i tried it i got charged .80p... guess my frend is lucky ..so guys i cannot guarantee that this will work.... but if u want just giv it a try........

but since its free its okay

@all why hasn't Airtel blocked all those ips .. When they were posted here a long time back...Regarding the use of message center no. For sending sms.. Let me tell you all concerned with this ... That i tried sending sms by using the message center no. From where the gtel people send their promotional sms...but nothing worked..And is any1 still able to send free mms .. Then pl pm me..

but don't tell me i am giving false information using that trick i am getting 230Kbps speed on rconnect and it is working with many dial service including airtel. and that info is not fake at all many ppl have replied there and that thread has been viewed bt more than 1195 times. i get around 40Kbps download speed on rconnect
and as long as fast proxy is concern use onspeed is dam fast

i just sent the request to cc for gprs activation but it will cost Rs349/month but its ok forme. i was using rconnect b4 but it has only 1 problem and that is freedom @nigh plan. free unlimited downloading on that plan is available from 10am - 6pm.
@Rs400/month. that timing is not good for student like me
but
speed was really fast i use to get 230Kbps sped on it by using small trick
but coz now i have subscribed airtel so u can expect more tricks from me
specially the trick on increasing the speed of internet

yes alan. its amazing. i use it on my dial-up and i get hi- speed. if we use it on our free gprs we get double the speed now we get.
the steps are simple;
1.make your net connection active.
2.open command prompt and type " ipconfig/all "
3.It give some datas.Find DNS address in that.
4.open notepad and write the following lines in it.
@ping -t xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
@pause
Note: Here XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX means ur DNS address.
5.Save it as speed.txt
6.Now rename it as speed.bat
7.Click the speed.bat to open it. it will run some data.
Note: Don't close it untill you close your netconnection.leave it running.
8.now use your net connection. it will give you rapid speed.
9.(AND Most important setp): Post your reply about it. and feel free to ask questions.

Guys,
The connection we get through airtelfun.com,airtelwap.com and airtelmms.com APN's is not fullfleged. It is a proxy internet. Our computer get DNS info from 100.1.200.99. So its a very tough to find DNS.
But the connection we get through airtelgprs.com APN is fullfleged. Because we have direct DNS server access. So there is no need to enter proxy adddess in browser connection settings.
By the way, DNS server addresses are 202.56.250.5 and 202.56.250.6 in Karnataka.
