the best part of takin a new prepais sim is
when u exhaust ur credit of that i.e. 99(if available) or 10 rs by sms,etc
and even if u dont recharge and ur validity is over,
ur airtel live connection will remain active with no relation 2 ur balance until ur grace period of 60 days.
( as i have gave a proof of mine my balance is minus(-) 20.30 rs and i m in 25th day of my grace period)

after grace period i still don no what will happen lets see!!!
but i think then permanent discoonection of ur prepaid sim occurs !!!
this way u r not compelled 2 recharge just after validity is ovr, as u need 2 call peple and send sms's (as first outgoing is blocked when credit is exhausted) !!
airtel live service is not blocked till ur sim is permanently blocked (i.e not until ur grace period of 60 days!!
so 2 prevent permanent dcnection do a recharge of minimum money that gives maximum validity bcoz grace period is same every time=60 days
but validity adds 2 that!!!!
for e.g at my place it is rs 200 recharge (else all below that denomination r top up cards) that gives talktime of 50 rs (that u can easy use off) and validty of 30 days and graceperiod same!!!!!!!!!!!
So it wil b around just 150rs(200-50) for 90 days/3 mths.
if u don want 2 spend just 50/mth in this way,
then betr continu wid ur persnal sim
but there u hav 2 recharg e.g wid 200 every mth (i.e 150 (200-50) / 1 mth)
bcoy of other purposes than surfin just fre net !!
MOROVR, ur gprs signl is holded whem any cal or sms comes .This majority times leads 2 discnection !!!

if u really wann download airtel live stuff,
as many people like that
(even knowin that their majority stuff is crap/very common
which can b downloade frm any other free site and even stuff better than that)
u have 2 b bit different
the trick is
take a new prepaid(mind it) sim (better if with non verification one)
enjoy the money on ur sim(10/99) in a way that u dont exhaust ur money exactly what is left
(i.e it shd not b like this that u have 10 rs left and u download a 10 rs wallpaper)
(it shd be like u have 20 rs and u shd dload item with 15 rs money or have 10 rs and downlaod a 50 rs game)
and then keep going what u wnna download without obligations
u wont be blocked!!!
(i think until u think of stopping)
btw i will advise u hav an avg assessment of how much money u hav looted airtel off !!!
since its better to stop <2000rs
as i know people in airtel who say that legal notices r served 2 people who hav their dues generally more than that !!!!!!!!!
so have a nice deal GIVE RS 99 AND TAKE RS 2000!!!!!!!!!!

But i am having problems with yahoo site i am not able to log in and check my mails from Yahoo and also some other sites why is this ???

Here in Karnataka, Airtel Live works with 0 balance also. But when we go to the A LIVE portal and click any links, it says Subscription charge Rs.30 per monthly will be charged. So I have now forgot about A LIVE.
I got Airtel Live Card of Rs. 500/- with my N70. Now I'm afraid to use it as they deduct Rs. 30/- per month and to cancel that, they will deauthorize my sim for airtelfun.com APN.

In nokia6600, we should make "airtellive1" as default connection, right.
And we also have "airtellive2", which we simply create and leave it.
Now when we long press '0', will it not get connected to "aitellive1".
This is just a doubt, plz don't mind.

If you want to use Airtel Live hacked Internet just in PC, there is no need to create 2 GPRS accounts(one account is enough). In Nokia, there is a separate hidden GPRS account called "Modem" which will be used by ur mobile during dialup connection. The Access Point parameter for this connection is taken from either "connection string" or from Menu->Tools->Settings->Connections->GPRS->Access Point(you should specify it. No other parametrs are needed for this connection). To fool Airtel Proxy, we need a GPRS account in mobile for "Services".
If you need this hacked connection in Mobile, then u need 2 accounts. In which any one account is needed continuously and remaning for just a moment.

I am on Grace since March 18th and have a balance of -30.00 which is the least possible balance. Airtel Live! and hence Sparton's GPRS is working fine for me till now. I am connected to Bharati Cellular Chennai Circle.
So on some servers they have implemented updation to block Airtel Live! once the balance is below Rs. 10/- But on most servers they are not practically implemented but the CC people always say U NEED 10 RS BALANCE and VALIDITY to access both LIVE! and MO.

i would like say that this proxy 100.1.200.99 has only one port open..
but web cams and orther applications requires ports to be opened..

first install DAP 8 (Download accelerater PLus
from anywher,then configure its internet connection as http proxy and then .... whenever u click on any link containg download it will automatically download it for you except few sites....
iu should have no doubts guys cause till now i have downloaded more than 2 GB of total downloads till now i was facing the same problem then i started using dap in helped me lot...

I also had same problem in the previous os of my pc. After reinstalling that, it solved. So I think this problem is browser based. Sometimes, changing browser also works. But it would be better if you use download managers like GetRight or DAP.

Hi Friends,
I have been able to access the net in my pc since last week.
After doing so i came to the following conclusion,
The net is very slow (only 1-5kbps)
To download just 1 MB (any thing) i have to waste nearly an hour..
sometimes in the middle of sth the gprs connection gets lost..
to connect to net , first i should be able to get gprs.
to know gprs is there or not i have to play with my mobile for sometime(15 min) i.e. switch off and on...
and net comes not when i need but when gprs is comming
Last but not the least.. i am not able to use yahoo msger, download songs, access some sites, etc.,,,
So i think that its not worth of wasting time in all these things.
Try some other way of accesing net.

i happened to get my hands on a 6630(edge enabled).... i got a whopping constant speed of 17 kB/s while downloading.... the speed was showed on DU Meter.... on my k750i i get only a constant speed of 6kB/s.... i.e 1 MB in a little over 3 minutes.. (during nights only) ..... it proves edge enabled phones can download faster on existing gprs connections....
btw the speeds are dependent on how busy ur network tower is...

Anybody heard of the Airtel cellmail service. . .
I called up cc and asked for cellmail activation. They told me to type SUB and send it to 600. That message itself was charged at 10 bucks. They told me this only enables me to send email via sms limited to 160 characters. And that too at 3 bucks per sms and 30 bucks per month. Seems this cellmail has nothing to do with email client:-( . WHAT A BLOODY RIP OFF? Airtel sucks. . .
By the way, i think mobile office is the only way to get email client to work. At times i really feel that Airtel deserves to be hacked to the core for their rip off services:-)

Your interpretation of speeds doesn't seem correct. At 6 kilobytes or 48 kilobits per second , i can download a 1 mb file in exactly 3 minutes on my W550i which has no edge. AIRTEL OFFERS NO EDGE YET. So edge is out of question now. . The speeds you are getting are normal gprs speeds and it heavily depends on voice traffic on ur local network. Remember that gprs also uses the same frequency as that of voice traffic. This explains why the gprs is generally faster during late nights and early mornings.

well I dont really agree with you. Earlier I used k700i( a non edge phone) and I used to get 7-8 kb/sec (using flashget) constantly. Now I use 6630 and I get constant avg speeds of around 13-14kb/sec.(using flashget). Apart from edge there is not much difference between the two phones if we consider networking only. I do have some friends using MO and they get constant speeds of over 20kb/sec using edge phones in some parts of kolkata.
I called up Airtel cc and they said Kolkata servers are partially edge enabled although I dont exactly know what they meant by "partially"

You may be right. But i still dont understand what Airtel means by partial EDGE. As in chennai it doesn't make any difference in using an edge phone. I ve tried using 6230 which has edge and found no difference . Infact it was slower than my W550i . Perhaps chennai doesn't seem to have that partial edge facility. Theoretically speeds of 20 kilobytes per second aren't quite typical of edge though. A class 10 edge offers speeds of about 284 to 384 kilobits per second . By the way, where do you live dude?
