Is it possible to quick-ff 3pg files...? My phone forwards when I press and hold the joystick to the right but it's to slow for a movie... I have to wait 5 minutes to seek 50 minutes. >.< Thats to damn long! Isn't there a quicker way?

Don't think so mate, why would you want to ffwd through 50 minutes of movie anyway, unless its the boring bits of a porno??!!

Oh......... Sorry, maybe someone else can advise

I've never heard anyway to fast forward faster than it normally does. I'd say what you see is what you get.

The only alternative would be to have "episodes", ie: break the movie up into quarters or something.

No fast-fast-forward can't be done. I think that a "Go-To" would be very useful if you could enter 50 mins or so and it would just jump to that bit.

Just a q. Is there any way to fast forward 3gp clips in a k700?

Posted by Salisbury_Steak
I dont think so indianna. I think you can only do so with mp3 files.

Errrr... Yes you can, go into the media player on the K700i and just hold right on the joystick to FFWD and left to RWD

well heres what i do, i go to the movei after wards, then rewind till you get the endo fo the one before, unless its a very long movie...

does this work?

or you could trim the movie down into 10 minute chunks/parts making it easier to get to the part you want to watch....

I can FFWD videos on my k700i, I've got 3 of them and they all have this facility.

What? Really? I cant do that. Must be the firmware. What firmware do you have?

I find it very simple to Fast-Fast-Forward videos with the k750i. I found the need as I was trying to watch a porno, but needed to skip to at least half way because I'd seen the start.

Here goes:

1) Transfer the file to your k750i (duh!)
2) Open the Menu. Go to Entertainment (or push "3")
3) Go to Video DJ™ (or push "2")
4) Click "Add", select "Video Clip" and locate your video
5) With your file added, select "Edit"
6) Select "Trim"
7) Now use the Right and Left on the joystick to navigate very quickily through your file. When you find the desired location, just stop pushing forward and leave it to play.

If you do not apprecaite watching a movie in such a small screen, simply repeat the steps but use the trim feature to select your "Start" and "End" points. When you have done this (ie. selected start where you would like it to begin), hit "C" (back) and click "More". With this selected, hit "Preview" to watch it in full screen.

Tinker with my instructions and in no time you should be able to seek to your movies much quicker than before.

Peace, daza.

There is a very simple way to overcome this prob.

1. play your movie
2. press back button until you goto standby (main screen)
3. when you want to continue the movie from were you stoped just press the "music button" and the movie will continue to play from were you stoped it

thats it.

brilliant mate!

one question! is this one still effective when sumone texted you (SMS) or maybe sumone called you.. or maybe play a couple of games.

ciao!

Posted by bzbee
not really sure.
I have't had the chance to check it yet.
getting my 2GB duo card soon, till then I can't really play to much videos

I think that when you get an SMS or a Call during video playback, the video will be minimized or paused, and when your done you'll get back to the video, then you can do the trick i showed you.

Regards,
Zion.

@bzbee

You forgot to state that you need the handsfree set to resume using the dedicated music button.

along with daza's suggestion those are two very useful tips for movie watching. I discovered the music button trick myself, but hadn't thought of the edit trick - which is a good alternative if you don't have a handsfree available.

@simply__me

yup your right.

I also found A nice way to still watch short vids without interupting your "wating" movie in the media player.

you can watch vids thru the "file manager" ==> "video" and it will not interupt your movies on the media player.
you can also use the radio with no problem, but you must set the "music button" to media player and not to "last used app"

I have a K750i flashed with W800i firmware (so technically my phone is a w800i). When i play a video and press pause then exit back to the stand by screen it doesn't continue playing from where i left off by pressing the music shortcut play button. But some of you are saying you can resume playback of a video- how come i can't? I'm pretty certain i'm not missing a step out...

@coo1k3n
Hi.

hmm.. thats wierd, the only thing seems wierd is you pressing the pause button.

try doing this:
1. watch a vid thru the "media player"
2. while playing, press a LONG back (not a click!) untill your thrown to the "stand by" screen.
3. press the "music button" to start the media player, it should start minimized, you just need to press the shortcut button and maximize the "media player"

hope this helps,
Zion.

i just tried, when playing a video in walkman(media player) i press and hold the "back" button to return to stand by screen, then i press the music button and it starts playing my previously paused music

Posted by coo1k3n
Yup, doesn't work with me. I get exactly the same problem- continues playback of music and not the last played video.

Must be down to the firmware version.

I'm on R1AA008.

I'm using firmware W800i with R1BC002 firmware and I same issue. No way to start resuming the video from where I left it...
