i just watched green street and his name is mentioned, i didnt know who he was but i do now! was he a karate master?

Posted by axxxr
No he was'nt actually into martial arts in real life,that was just part of acting career and what he was obviously so well known for.

Does anyone know if he did anything other than acting (like directing/producing)?

What was he credited for in Green Street (aka Hooligans)? I've seen it and never noticed him in it or credited (although this was a unfinished print)?

I wonder how many people also remember him as Arnold in Happy Days?

anyway, here is his IMDB details

Thats sad...

He was as important figure in life as micheal jackson. Every one knows who sang "bad" just like everyone knows who said "daniel son"

Looking at IMDB he had a good life (stared in 103 films not to mention other tv projects).

RIP

May his SOUL rest in peace . . . Karate Kid (series) was a big hit here during the 80's . . .

@joebmc

thank you...

he looks so different to the Karate Kid Series...

it is sad that he passed away. He was trually a great actor.

one karate move i remember was the "crane move" which he taught daniel on the beach. That was some move.

@icewinds - Nice post mate! I think in a way that those DVD titles, Karate Kid series, will be SOLD out in the shelves because of his demise, just like when the legendary - Bruce Lee died in the 70's. I never knew that the pretty Elizabeth Shue was included in the flick

yup JN lol, iv brought his name to esato when i joined and keep it alive here. thanks icewinds yup thats the "crane" karate move

pleasure guys, lets hope he is remembered, bruce lee is also a legend and his scenes with Chuck Norris wer legendary.

Just the same as those crane and wax-on scenes...

@mr. miyagi - Yeah . . at least Pat Morita's 'memory' will be remembered for long here at Esato thru you/r username mate

As I've been watching CNN about this news, it was featured there that the late Pat Morito was also included in a major 'cartoon' movie (voice-over) . . . and I just forgot the title of that one Let me compose myself and think of it . . .

@JN

He was the voice of the emperor in Disney's "Mulan"

He was a great actor and I bet many people will miss him.... I know I will, he was an icon.
