tips for those using at&t gprs & laptop

If you have been reading my posts, you will see I have been trying to get the conenction faster. here is what I have learned.

The maximum speed you will encounter is similar to a 56k modem (for now, until they upgrade the network)

In the Mobile Connectivity pack, you can adjust the settings so the pictures are compressed more and more to increase speed. I think there are 5 settings or so.

You can also turn off applets, animation, sound, etc in the mobile connectivity kit and this will make it go faster as well as not use up bandwitdth that you have to pay for or that counts toward you allowance.

I dont think it really matters how fast your Infra red, cable, blue tooth card. When I connect it says 115kbp, but it doesnt matter since it can only transfer from the phone at 56k or less.
