PLease.. I have been looking for a solution everywhere and ive emailed the davinci team several times without even getting an answer...
Ive got a K750i locked to O2 in London.... Im trying to flash to Europe3 to get rid of shutter sound and YES I know this has been posted... but that is not my question..
When I open the Sony Ericsson Client V.14 I chose the files I need and Europe3.... I get the "Turn off phone, hold C and plug USB cable" message...
I do that but the program does not continue...
Ive bought credit.... Ive installed the software that came with te phone and im using the Usb cable that came with the phone..
please please if anybody knows what th problem is....

ok.. downloaded the drivers you gave me.. uninstalled the previous ericsson stuff through "add and remove programs"...
now what?? when i plug the phone theres no "new hardware found" sign popping up... I know a bit about computers. studying computer science =P.... but still..... Ive tried to "update driver" but didnt work either....
it finds 3 modems... sony ericsson modem bla bla... but the drivers u gave me are already installed according to the update manager...

hello, me again by the looks of things going to try and talk you through it!
- stage one
- plug your usb cable and phone into your computer!
- right click on my computer, choose properties!
- go to hardware!
- choose, device manager!
- scroll down to, universal serial bus controllers!
- double click on your K750i usb icon!
- choose the advanced option, un-install drivers!
- click OK!
stage one complete!
stage two now!! - now unplug your usb/K750i cable and re-start your CPU
- plug your cable into your K750i but NOT your CPU!
- then plug it into your CPU . . . wait for it . . . NOW!!!
- now you should have a box saying new hardware rubbish!
- click on it, and choose install drivers from specific location!
- choose the UN-ZIPPED drivers that I gave you the link for!
- it will install them drivers now, excellent!
stage two complete!
stage three - go make yourself a cup of tea/coffee depending on preference!
stage three complete!!!
going well so far
stage four - retry davinci whilst keeping fingers legs and if possible, toes as well, all crossed whilst balancing upside down on your head!

The Laptop did NOT recognize my phone when I just bought it.. but now i does.... wich is very strange.. Ive uninstalled the ericsson files =S

Hmmm...
After going through Davinci website. I think you don't need new drivers. Just the same flash drivers you would use if you were going through SEUS.
There are two types of drivers for DCU-11 cable (the one that comes with K750i) the "normal" drivers to access the phone and transfer files, and FLASH drivers to update it.
To make sure you installed the flash drivers:
- Turn off phone
- Connect DCU-11 to PC
- Hold 'c' and connect cable to K750i with 'c' pressed.
You should hear WinXP making that funny sound of when something is plugged. If it's already installed, nothing will happen. If not, it will ask you for the drivers (some EPIUSB thingy, thats what you need
)
Better yet, do this with your device manager opened and tree view for USB devices opened too, you should see the list changing.

hey hey people, just back from the pub
going round to a friend's in a minute but thought I'd reply with the answer to your next problem,
anyway enough of my lifestory and onto the topic!
-- right click on your my computer
-- go to properties
-- choose the hardware tab at the top
-- click on windows update
here's the technical part which I should be explaining once recovered in the morning!
-- choose the middle option, should say ''ask me to use windows update each time'' (or suomething like that can't remember personally!)
-- yours would have been set on the top one, am I correct? well thats windows being a pile of **** as usual!
-- now go through the un-installation of drivers as mentioned in my previous post (somewhere up there ^^ last time I checked)
now when you try to re-install (don't you feel like there should be a simpler way than installing / un-installing / installing etc drivers ehehe?!) you should get a box come flashing up
be quick now windows doesn't give the user much chance to react! but choose the option that goes something like, ''don't search windows update (advanced) I will choose the driver to install''
then cycle (not on your bike of course, we have motorbikes to save the legwork these days!) your way to the drivers you downloaded from the davinci site and HOPEFULLY install them correctly for you!
p.s. if any of my posts don't make complete and utter sense then tough luck! as I'm rushing through because the sooner I reply the sooner I go meet some friend's and have a fantastic night!
oh yeah after all that up there is done, try davinci again =) and make sure you hold down the clear key (C) on your phone when it asks!

ok... did that but it tells me that no drivers better then the current installedcould be found..
tried doing it on my friends laptop and the "approved_cables" drivers didnt even work... they couldnt find the phone...
the EPIUSB doesnt work either.... I know its getting long winded but i realy realy want this to work....
Its strange though.. because my laptop DOES recognize the phone... there is a K750 plugged into USB....
Oh by the way.... It might be worth saying that this is my phone details..

hello again well this is confusing, I have sent you a private message, shall apear in red in the top right of your screen. Included in that message is my msn address if you use it, I should be online later as I'm on my P910i at the minute and I will talk you through the whole process as its easier than a few written guides!
just a comment though, with the ''new'' drivers from davinci your phone may not be recognised by your computer as a usb device, it may only charge your phone! but when you try davinci it should recognise correctly even though window's doesn't see it, anywho will chat to you late as I am aware how much you no doubt would like this to work. I know when I first flashed my K750i with W800i firmware it took me what seemed like forever to get it to work!
