I always said my nan could never use a mobile no matter how simple it was but i think she may actually be able to grasp that one

numbers are all pre-programmed with designated numbers such as for example 1 for a close family members or next of kin 2 can be for a doctor or nurse and 3 for the undertakers!

Posted by EastCoastStar
and how do they program these numbers though?!

Posted by axxxr
not quite sure to be honest?..might be that a seperate unit is provided to store the numbers onto a sim and then designated a number to be used on this...but thats just a guess.

i was thinking a USB to the computer... then realized... elderly people cant do that! haha it probobly comes with an attachment u can add.

Hey can anybody recommend a phone for my nan, my grandad is going to buy one for xmas.

I was thinking a nokia maybe a 3310 or something, bear in mind that my grandparents are stupider than most and in their 80's.

What do you guys suggest, he said around £40 but i may be able to get 2 for under £50 so they can both have one.

Thanks in advance.

See i don't have a grandmother she died a long time ago,but if my nan were alive today i would never ever think of buying her one these.I would proberbly have show her a few phones and then find out which is the most easiest for her to use.

This phone looks very easy to use. However, it is quite small and its features are very limited, too. It is still ideal for the elderly to get a phone that will allow them to text and enjoy other practical features. One example of this phone is the Just5 Easyphone that also features big buttons, amplified sound, ease of operation, and emergency response system. The functions of this phone are not complicated so it is very convenient for seniors. Above all, its features are very practical including its cost.

Even if I was old I would not want it A man up the road fro me in his 80's he has Doro phones which is better & at least has an LCD.
