yes pwede kahit anong brand.. pero mas maganda if you buy Western Digital or Seagate or Toshiba and also consider also the speed, ang 160GB is 5400rpm pero yun 200GB 4200rpm lang. pero check mo din sa Digital Walker meron silang 200GB na 5400rpm or 7200rpm (about 11k), not sure though.
alam ko madaling mag palit ng HD ang macbook pero suggest ko lang, dalhin mo na lang sa apple store or ynzal, 1000-1500 ang charge when i had mine upgraded pero macbook pro kasi ako, mas cheaper yata pag macbook.

@antz - thanks bro, kaya lang dito po sa dubai lintek sa mahal ang mac service and parts plus kotni lang ang authorized dealers ng mac dito. id rather buy a cheap hd from computer shops and then do it myself. hindi kse sila pumapayag if you buy parts from other stores and then you ask them to fix it. an additional 1gb ram for macs costs between 8k to 10k dito, kesyo may labor/service daw at genuine mac parts daw .eh mac mismo nag labas ng tutorial DIY for upgrading parts. anyways, thanks for the input

@kap, when you use a Mac, don't think of it as a PeeCee. Pwede ka din mag-Skype sa Mac, may audio pa. Yung YM for Mac, la pa audio capability sa ngayon.

Sa tagal ko ng gumagamit ng Mac (7 years), never pa tinamaan ito ng virus. Kung sino man ang gumawa ng anti virus na yan, gusto lang kumita dun sa mga walang alam na hindi pa nagkakavirus sa Mac.

My point is, there is no need for an anti-virus for mac because it's useless, waste of money and will just eat some of it's resources which can be of use somewhere else.
Whatever virus there is for Mac out there, it's harmless and possibly extinct.
