metroPCS offers an excellent calling plan within the coverage Area but I haven’t really look at their messaging options and no yearly contract.
They’ve been around runs in 3G network but limited coverage, here in California mostly Bay Area (San Francisco) & Sacramento area, Georgia & Greater Florida cities. Metro is like CDMA a proprietary service not a lot of phone to choice from.
Hindi naman sa minamaliit yong service and not to offend PCS subscribers, metroPCS it seems the service are design sa hindi ma approve sa mga major phone providers.
Bro ang text messaging kasi dito hindi pa gaanong popular, kaming mga pinoy mostly ang gumagamit to communicate sa mga relatives & friends dyan sa PI. Ako 3 years ago lang naging active sa text messaging. But it’s gaining popularities on public high school using sidekick-II.

@GPRS, im directly hired here and my company is a subcon of the 2 operators here in kuwait and also vendors like ericsson, nokia, motorolla and siemens(pinakyaw na ata nila lahat). i'm assign to ericsson and nokia.
@marino, tnx sa info tignan ko kung meron cla nun dto. but since katxt ko lng nman from phils, i use ChikkaTXT messenger. Reply nla costs 2.50 lng. Pro meron nman akong roaming(globe and smart) so piso lng.
Mas ok sana globe coz i can recharge even here unlike smart thru e-lod lng. Balance inquiry sa globe is free while smart 20 pesos prang isang txt din. ska globe my incoming and outgoing calls even prepaid while smart wala. mahal lng ng 5 pesos when sending txt from globe which here is 25 while 20 smart. YUN NGA LANG, WALA NG GLOBE KO AT MAHAL NG I-MAINTAIN CLA HEHEHE imo, wrong move ang globe dun what if madeactivate at mablock na ung number, will globe still activate that number? Mahirap ata papalit-palit ng number so better mag-smart na lng ako.

Ginagamit ko dati ang Chikka, since mahirap maka log-in most of the time, I end up using my cell phone. Connected sa laptop using MSOutlook through JeyoMobile program. Pag sa Nokia Oxygen II naman ang ginagamit ko, one-to-sawa ang text dhil kasama sa monthly Plan.
I assume na mayrong outgoing ang SMART Roaming sponsored by local carrier through T-Mobile. They keep sending me that message stating that I can call using my roaming number, just dial 011 63 and the number you wish to reach.. pero never to try using it dhil walang load yong Smart ko. What is 30pesos every 2 weeks expired agad or not even a ring, na drain na!
Bro tanong lang since you have more inside info about roaming using SMART, kailangan ko bang mag eload lagi to keep it active?

marino/619, last load ko ng 300 sa smart roaming ko more than 4 months na. im not sure but it could be 6 months before they deactivate the sim. i also experienced 5 and a half months, ok prin sya without even using the sim.
