@619: oo nga eh i have to keep a P500 maintaining balance and it's good for only 15 days, and i have to request to activate my roaming every month yata....

honga kainis globe, me too noverber 30 pa nawala globe roaming ko, pati ung mga ksamahan ko dto sa kuwait na mga nka-globe roaming(mga ex-globe employee cla hehehe)
buti na lng may smart roaming prin ako tutal receiver lng nmn ng text...

kutch... they changed their roaming proceedure.. up to nov30 and every month daw ang renewal... then u have to retire that sim for a month after 3months of continues roaming.. accdg to CS ah.

wawa nman mga seaman, most of them are using globe because of globe's roaming wider coverage(according to 3 seamen i know) so for sure mdami affected.

dapat pala bawas bawasan ko yong text ko, minsan umaabot ako almost 10K characters a day dahil full words most of my text pra naman hindi magcontribute sa over load ng bandwidth.
@ Kutch, tama si Bokayo mag SMART ka nalang. so far itong SMART Roaming ko 17 months na going strong parin. every two weeks pinapalagyan ko ng P30 eload just to keep it active, kahit receiving text lang.
Globe should consider keeping that International Roaming service active as long as eLoad is being applied occasionally! dahil yong ka communicate natin from Pinas ginagamit din nila yong service nila. Not unless to get rich quick mentality ang Globe, isipin mo P18 per 160 characters compare sa 2pesos & 1peso sa Smart yata.

Try to get information sa mga service provider abroad kong mayron silang service like we have here locally. email to text then text to email, for example yong carrier ko T-Mobile (numerous service providers offer same service too).
From Pinas, pwedi silang mag send ng text to a cell phone using any emails, ang address is the local 10 digit phone number e.g. xxxxxxxxxx@tmomail.net, then from cell phone you can response back to that email at no cost as long as your with in the Text Message Plan. at least maka-save sila using email to text message.
