Here is some stuff and pic at bottom:
Weight: 150g
Os: Symbian v7.0 UIQ 2.1
Screen: 65k colors (208 x 320)
Talk Time: Up to 200 mins
Standby Time: Up to 275 hours
Memory: 18 MB
External Storage: MiniSD
Connection: mini USB 1.1, Bluetooth, IrDA
1.3 megapixel camera
Pre-installed QuickOffice, MSN mobile messenger
We have to wait to see if it will support FlashLite.

With PSPs clogging the shelves of Game, Virgin Megastore, HMV, Dixons and every other store that can think of a halfway decent excuse for stocking Sony's new handheld gaming console, you're going to be hard pushed to find anyone selling Nokia's new N-Gage accessories. Nokia doesn't want you to miss out, though, so it's launching an on-line store at http://www.n-gage.com/store/. The store opens this week for customers in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK. via CNet

@ (sc)chronos

Still making noise?
P Series were beaten a long time ago, and keep on being beaten...

Byw that's a BenQ stamped Nokia.

nice

Posted by amnesia
it would look nice if they just didn't put the keypad there, it's HUGGGGE!

comparing dimensions with the P990...

P990 is 114 x 57 x 25 mm
6708 is 117 x 51 x 18 mm

Posted by Super G
@masseur

Oh, that's surprising!!
6708 does look bigger, but it's not

Posted by masseur
agreed.

btw I had to convert the 6708 from inches as I can't find its dimensions listed in cm

if you want inches then

P990 is 4.4 x 2.2 x 1 inches
6708 is 4.6 x 2 x 0.7

Posted by solidsingh
strange, the nokia looks huge in the pictures

Posted by masseur
I just found an article which agrees...

Quote:

is both narrower and thinner than the just released SE P990 and just a little bit longer.

nokias always look big ever since i started coming on esato

Posted by pow1990
that phone reminds me of the Motorola A835 or something?

Posted by DickySnapples
i actually quite like it.and it wouldnt bother me about the internal memory size as i always save my files to the external memory. altough i do agree it looks bigger than the P990.But being a 9500 user, size doesnt bother me.

i look forward to getting my hands on one

Posted by david1975
does look a bit on the large size will be interesting to see if its any good though might be ok seeing that it isnt really a nokia but a benq phone i think

Posted by (sc)chronos
i dont see any reason to compare this thing with p990. with symbian 7.0, 18 mb internal memory, and being so ugly in design makes this thing unique...

Does it have EDGE buddy ? That's quite important for a non SE user.If you've used EDGE once you will never want GPRS.3G is faster (in theory) but EDGE works (in practice) I have extensively tested both on a 6680. So I am taking from personal experience.I wonder why SE did not include EDGE in the 'flagship to be' P990 ? ? ? I don't mind the slow wifi but come on SE ,why not EDGE ?

Donīt know where i got the information, but this not a "real nokia", actually. Originally made by BenQ as P31, only the cover makes it a Nokia

I had the same impression.

About the phone, I'm just, let's say, blank. Don't know what to think yet. I'll just wait till real user reviews come in.

Such large screen acreage!

Posted by b-chill
@david: sorry about that, actually, i got through all the posts, to be sure that no one had told about this benq. but it seems i didīnt read it too carefully. And for that im sorry. Btw you say that you THINK that it is a benq phone, while im absolutely sure its a benq. While surfing, i found something else, namely that the original p31 never will see the harsh light of day.

ok its cool had a moment earlier thats all you are right i did say i thouhgt it was and you said it was but oh well never mind eh lol

Posted by mario2002
This phone should be seen as a upgrade to the 'real' Pxx series and not the 990.Now is it really better then the actual SE flagship P910i ? I very much doubt it.Lets see what the price is like.

Posted by upper
well you have to put this into concideration, that chinese people are smaller than the western world so having that nokia phone will make the handset large. maybe it will be the same if a p series was there too.

Posted by Oco
Mmm I can only find one use for this brokia phone... make P series cheaper a cause the market

Posted by drgopoos
has some used this 6708..... i would like some one to give me a review of this handset and a comparison with p990i
