"I have heard that the Panasonic GD87 is to be released on Orange soon, could you

The GD87 is exclusive to Vodafone. Or so i am told.

siuj, you are mistaken, the Sharp GX10 is vodafone exclusive until march 2003, but thats it, every network will have the GD87, and can you blame em, its just so cool, next few weeks on orange, staff training for the handset is taking place as we speak.
I for one will be buying this phone on Orange.

Orange Tech Support is a red rag to me... I wasn't disputing the release date (don't know anything about that), but the staff training thing!

Orange TS dept, really are a complete waste of space. I worked at orange for 3 and a half years and TS got worst instead of better. And the training on the handsets, my god, what a waste of time and effort. orange make thier staff read some useless little training pack on the systems, then answer a little crapy quiz. They do not even get to play with the phone.
There are very few people at orange who know a lot about mobile phones.
I did not have a prob though cos I, like orangeman, know my shit
