I suggest you stop everything mate... do a bit of research, i'm starting this too so perhaps we can help each other out.

First what are you trying to achieve? I'm looking to loose body fat, and replace with muscle... I take it your looking for the same?

Where do you want to loose the fat?

Thats quite a task to do at the same time.... nearing impossible well for me it is. I found it better to lose the wieght first then put on muscle

i was 85kg, started a weght loss programme only (no weight lifting), dropped to 67kg, started weight training... couple of years in and now im 82Kg

Good luck to both of you

That's exactly what i meant!

Loosing it first, then training for the muscle... I've already got pleanty of protien powder etc... but I gotta wait to loose the weight first.

It's gonna be tuff... i like my fast food

a good way to lose wieght is to eat on a regular basis, that means small and often i eat 7-9 times a day (some of the meals are protien powder).
try to eat heathly food and treat yourself to some crap about once/twice a week.
combine this with at least 30-40 mins so your in your fat burning zone of cardio 3-4 times a week.
on food try to get a balance between protien carbs and fat dont over do the carbs and fat though

The key is to not deprive yourself of any essential nutrients, including carbs. A very effective way of loosing fat is just to minimise, as much as you can, the amount of carbs you eat after 4pm. I have seen this work on a friend of mine. After 3 months he had hardly any body fat. To build muscle, boost your protein intake, Holland & Barrett do good supplements. Good luck!

i began my atkin when my weight is about 97-98kgs. after intensive atkins i dropped & stuck at 90kg. i also tried to lower my calories intake, but didn't show any result during 2 months, i was desperate!
then i began to take extensive & routine excersise, yes! my weight dropped to 82kgs but now rise&stuck at 85 damn!
from my posture my ideal weight is about 78-79kgs. so i'm aim dropping abt 6-7kgs then i'll built muscle.
Thx guys its good to hav ppl in same ways, we could help each other & share

your doing atkin's???

The man is dead.... leave him alone... perv...

there is a bit of research around to show that Atkins can in fact do more harm than good.

from personal experience a balanced diet with controlled portions and regular exercise is the most effective. whatever regime you choose needs to be sustainable. there's no point doing atkins for a few weeks and stopping because once that happens you start to forfeit all the benefit.

Hmmm... yeah maybe i should quit atkins. i read from "Mens Health" magz, the best diet now is The Abs diet, which is balance diet.
but hmmm... some ppl says if you consume a huge amount of salt, it can keeping the water below u'r muscles. so u'r muscle don't looked firm, is it true?

too much salt is always a bad idea. any diet that recommends a disproportionate intake of a specific food group to the exclusion of others is generally not as good as it sounds.

oh boy.. this gonna be though, i like to add salt with almost any cooked food, especially steak

it's generally ok to cook with a moderate amount of salt, but adding it afterwards is less desirable. drinking water can mitigate the effects of salt in the diet to some degree, but you still need to maintain basic electrolyte levels.
