Just updated my K750i with the latest firmware that has finally been released for Vodafone branded handsets (as of 10 Oct.).

As a swiss Vodafone user with my k750i, I tried to update 3 or 4 times yesterday in the afternoon (10.10.05) and the firmware is still R1L002 with camera version 4.4.

I'm a UK Vodafone user and the service says that my phone is already up to date and has the current software.
Tried it this morning (Tues 11 Oct). I'm still on R1L.

how has rob123 got R1N035 then?
Posted by Rob123
Do you currently have EU2 software? What is your region?
This may be the reason that I was able to update. I have a Vodafone branded handset as sold by Vodacom in South Africa.

how do i find out if i have eu2 software? im vodafone UK
thanks

Vodafone UK K750i's are EU1.
Just go look at the Software Info of your phone, it tells you in the second line.
To llok at the software Info do >*<<*<* using your joystick for the right (>) or left (<) movements.

This is the semi-branded Vodafone UK i.e. No DRMS cr@p, and no barred use of MP3s for ringtones. In fact the only differences I can see between this and the completely unbranded one are the 'Vodafone Live!' and 'Favourites' icons in the menu.
My questions:
1. Can this version be updated yet?
2. If so, does SEUS kn@cker the phone completely and install all the afforementioned DRMS etc... making the phone fully branded?

I have exactly the same semi branded black Voda K750. I could not upgrade to R1N either , but this was on Sunday.
Note, this is the EU_1 version and not EU_2. I am wondering whether it is this difference that prevents us from upgrading....

Success.........
Oh my god... at last...
My "black" k750 now works with the HBH-610
ok, the particulars are as follows:
R1N035
EU_1 etc......
Camera version is 4.5 (previous 4.4)
CDA102338/68 R4A
Europe_2

cheers and good luck!

@jonnyboy13 - call signal appears to be better, can't say about call volume, no one's called me yet
As for DRM - it's Digital Rights Management. Normally Vodafone only let you use DRM'd MP3's as ringtones. However, the 'black' k750i from vodafone tends to allow you to use any MP3 without having to DRM.
I also removed memory stick before updating and had no issues during the update.
Same particulars as james007bond

I also have a Vodafone silver branded K750i. I have just tried SEUS again and it still says R1L is the latest.

The same here guys!
Getting really annoyed that it is taking so long for this firmware to become available for the silver vodafone branded EU2 phone.
Does anyone have info on this and have vodafone or sony made any comment on the inconsistency?
Pain in the arse I tell you!!
