If you're using XP, try downloading RockXP:
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/rockxp.html
It has a function that shows all stored (starred out) passwords used on the internet. Scary, really

Doesnt seem to work, all i could get was my windows and office activation code.

There's several tabs at the top of the window, one (or two) are to do with passwords
It's the 'My System Passwords' tab. You have to click on the little plus (+) signs in the left hand windows, then left click on each one to highlight it and look at the info in the right window. It looks like a load of garbage, but eventuall you will see your passwords in amongst it all. Be patient, it's in their somewhere, you just have to keep clicking ALL of the little pluses

Hmm....sounds like an interesting app

Rojas- Firstly, start posting your id and passwords here, then we all can remember it for you. Ok now serious, if the MSN login screen does show some *** or black dots in the password field, try this and revert. Google the term 'Password Revealer' and check for the software by the same name. Hardly 100 kb. While the window with any encrypted password shows onscreen, use that app to decode and reveal the characters (You just need to drag the aiming cursor).

Yeah, PWR is good but it does struggle with some passwords.
Actually I've just tried to find my .net password with RockXP and it doesn't appear to be on there. It did, however, reveal just about all of my other passwords so if you've used the same password for several things (naughty, but be honest, most of us do it!) it still might be useful!
EDIT: Are you sure about that? You do need to know what you're doing a bit but believe me, some of your passwords will be in there somewhere

No, don't go spending money on shareware crap
Well, there's no point looking in the registry because the .net password is encrypted, which is probably why those two apps can't pick it up.
I'll have a look around for you
EDIT: If you knew the first letter of the password, would that help you remember it? If so, try this:
http://www.brothersoft.com/Ut[....]N_Password_Recovery_41422.html
The demo version only shows you the first letter of the password, the full version recovers the full password. And it works!

All this is new to me, so i say this. Either these apps are very cool or very illegal. Just kidding, please tell me he it works.

@Gamerz10
They're not illegal at all. All of your passwords that windows, msn or your browser offers to save for you get encrypted into a code and stored in the windows registry.
All these programs do is find the encrypted password in the registry (common knowledge, you can find them manually using windows' very own built-in 'regedit' program) and decrypt it back to the original password. The encryption / unencryption technique is not exactly a big secret either, if you're a programmer you can download a ready-made piece of C++ code to add to your own programs that'll do it for you directly from the microsoft site!

This is all interesting. Thanks for info.
