@billbones: Very thanks for this feedback. This is a important information for me to help others in my supportforum.

@alukardgt: The current version works for the W910i - with one issue: The phone has 3 fields for Mobile numbers, MyPhoneExplorer has only 1 field. A fully compatible version should be released the next days.

Hi everyone. I got a P1 but as we know, MPE is not compatible for all functions. What other software can I use?

I seem to be having an issue using the PC Suite to connect in phone mode so I can backup the phone etc.

Hi jaguy85, you may try Float's Mobile Agent (pls Google), it might work. @ares reported some months ago that it worked with previous UIQ devices. Good luck...

I wish they'd add UIQ support already because I really don't like FMA too much going on there. MPE is just simple and clutter free.

uh, can anyone help out? I used the program about a week ago and even created backup of the phone with it. now the computer said "can't open COM20". what should I do? I want my files back. do I need to uninstall SE PC Suite to be able to use MyPhoneExplorer again?

EDIT:

found the solution through one answer in MPE's own forum

just need to tell MPE to search the device again and it found the phone, just not on the specified COM port that won't open! argh!

They are made in flash. I don't think the will look good in MyPhoneExplorer cause 1. is the sidebar in MPE vertikal and 2. the sidebar in MPE has much more items

Btw all P1i users (or SE-Symbian phones) should get on that forum and follow the development of MPE's compatability for those phones!

Presently the discussion is all in German (http://www.fjsoft.at/forum/viewtopic.php?p=22779), but I'm trying to convert the thread to English

FJ has created a beautiful tool for SE phones and it would be great if it would run just as well with the SE-Symbians.

you can dial, answer and hangup calls with MPE, and using the computer sound and mike as a "bluetooth headset" for the phone.

WOW! Just tried it on my P1i ... and would you believe ... it works like a charm

Got my Phone and Sim contacts into MPE.
Got my messages and call logs on MPE
Got my signal strength and battery on it too!
I can even see my files on the phone c:\\ d:\\ & z:\\
Can manage the files ... copy to PC, copy from PC, delete from phone, etc.

The only problem I'm having is ... I click on Organizer, and the program closes!

Your K200i is not Bluetooth capable nor is it compatible with a USB cable so that limits your connectivity options to Infa-red. Does your PC have a Infa-red sensor or an USB adaptor? Thats the first place to start. I'm not sure if MPE is Infa-red compatible though - anyone?

Hi,

Can I use this software to backup my sms messages from k850 and restore them to a w810? How do I go about doing that? It seems to be using different databases for synchronization with each phone

I can't download messages from my K800i onto MyPhoneExplorer. It's driving me insane, everytime I click refresh, the box that would show the text messages being downloaded just flashes and then no messages appear yet my inbox is completely full! Any ideas? Cheers.
