Blazer 2.0 over T-Mobile gprs

I am trying to get the Palm OS Blazer 2.0 to work over VoiceStream/T-Mobile GPRS connection. I have the Palm establishing the GPRS via IrDA and this seems to be OK. However, when I try to load a page the Blazer status line gives me the following: Connecting... Negotiating... Connecting... Negotiating... then nothing?! No error, no page just nothing. All sites that I have tried behave the same. The AvantGo browser does load pages but I think that it is cumbersome to use. Anybody get Blazer to work in this environment?
