setool will work, obviously (that salvaged my phone from being a really expensive paperweight when i once reflashed with dvt with the cid ignore option on), tms works fine basing from the posts here, but there doesnt seem to be a way of doing this with davinciteam-from this forum the CID changer has been due for quite some time now, but there doesnt seem to be anyone working on it. i just dunno if it usually takes some time. *sigh* does anyone know any tms credits resellers in the philippines-

Does anybody know if SEUS works okay when it returns the message: "You have the latest software", or should I visit my dealer to be sure? Mine is R2G001, but I think my operator Telenor has somewhat messed with it...
And from what I've read here R2G001 doesn't really seem to be the latest version available?

It might be the latest version approved by your operator, therefore a service centre will proabably only have the same version for your phone.
Of course there are 3rd party apps that allow you to install the generic firmwares.
I have K608i R2L002 which is far from the latest version, but there are no updates anywhere for the K608i

did any of u noticed the bt bug in k6? i turn on bt, the text pops up " bt turned on" but there is no icon on the desktop. so i turn it off, then on, and that time there is the bt icon. it happens ca every 5th time when i wanna turn it on.

in my R2J005 now, i noticed when someone sends me multiple pics/tones/vids via bluetooth, the :bt: connection just screws up - my K600 acts like it's not expecting another file and the sending phone just stalls at 'awaiting another device to accept file' (or another message to that effect). i remember my R2G001 not having this trouble. im not sure if a master reset will fix it though, i dont want to go with it yet as it's a cumbersome process backing my stuff up, then restoring them afterwards

@jn mainly the design and the material of the covers. k608 and v600 are made of cheap plastic, but better keypad as k600 imo, k600 has alu frontcover and metal joystick, but the keypad is crap. k608 and k600 has got that weird cam lense to turn ( same on p990 ), v600 has got a cam slider, as k750i.

Hello.
I'm from Portugal and I've got a v600i.
I tried to flash it with davinci with my miniusb cable (possible with client 15.7) but the soft is only for CID49/Red and mine is CID36/Red.
My question is:
Is it possible to change into CID49 in order to flash my phone?
I know there are other friends with the same problem and maybe they could give me some advice.

This looks enough for me to flash my R2J/CID36 phone to R2T/CID49. Funny why no one from the support team mentioned this, while everyone seems to be holding on to forever waiting for the CID changer for K60x. I wouldntve known if I didnt decide to download the latest client just for kicks.

@619 i was under the impression that if you reflash the software, the locks go away with it as well. so i see that's not the case now..
btw, my attempts to convert my cid36/brown phone to cid49/red (or cid49/brown) completes sucessfully, but when I do a cable test/cid check it still says it's cid36/brown. the only thing that works and actually reflects when you do a cid check after the conversion is to and from cid36 brown and/or red. Anyone had better luck?

ac: no. you need a DSS-25 (comes with a P910)
there was actually a short period time (pre-SEUS II) when that was possible (I actually still have the link to the SEUS mini USB drivers) but they took it down for some reason and when I checked back the following day there was SEUS

Hiya folks, ive got a v600i on the way (branded and locked to vodafone uk) ive got a DSS-25 as i have a p900. What do i need to do to get the v600i unlocked and unbranded to work with 3uk?? Ive done a search and come up with blanks everytime! also would the sw in the v600i stop me from using any of 3's services??
Also would it be benificial to put k608i fw on it??

V600 software is a vodaphone exclusive; vodaphone menus, vodaphone preloaded WAP/MMS settings you can't change, etc
the K608 software has customized icons - i believe this is the 3/orange counterpart of the V600. i cant confirm as i havent found one
K600 is the operator-unlocked/generic mass consumption model. preloaded content provided by
this should work with any operator, provided you have the right GPRS/MMS settings
the P900 comes with a DSS-20. Im not sure if you can use that with davinci. the
online update service requires a DSS-25

I doubt you will be able to use any of 3's services without the K608i firmware as it uses the browser version (which includes phone name) to supply the pages.
As for changing the firmware you should read this thread harder!
BTW...
The K608i is the 3 version of the K600, I did also read somewhere T-Mobile are using it too.
The V600i is vodafone.
K600 is generic.

I used to own a K600i, I flashed it with k608i firmware using TMS.
Still would not work on the 3 portal. Sold it to a friend on Orange, and bought a refurbished k608i from the phones4u website.
There seems to be something within the secure part of the k600 that is untouched by the k608 firmware, but is changed in the v600 when flashed with k600 firmware.
and just to confirm, my k608 is R2L

choose DCU-60
take out your sim card
replace battery
hold c
plug in mini usb
press power button
wait til step 6 comes up saying let go of c
all done
