it seems you have 3 hd's.
- 250gb
- 30gb
- 6gb
the 250bg is not partitionated(so you dont see it), youre using the 30gb one and the 6gb is not partitionated either

Hey i got a new HDD a few weeks ago and i cant format it
It either crashes the PC or says "Windows cannot compete the format" i've done some googling but not found a solution as of yet.

i dislike it as it has taken me ages to get xp running how i like it and its perfect now, my mum buys a laptop and it comes loaded with vista and it asks to many questions, i have got the aero glass thing on xp its pretty but im slowly drifting to ubuntu completely,

By using net send command we can send continous loop messages through a LAN. Is ther anyway we can close all the messages in one go i.e at once instead of clicking "OK" for a hundreds time. I mean without restarting PC.

I'm not sure if it is possible with the net messaging service but usually, if you open loads of windows (like when you're browsing through folders and each folder appears in a new window) holding the shift key and clicking the "x" in the top right corner of the last opened window will also close all of the windows that came before it at the same time.

Here's one for you! I use egg banking to track all my accounts but the accounttracking.dll file isn't installed properly so I am trying to delete it, BUT the Downloaded Program Files folder in windows where it is situated is empty when you open it but the files are definitely there when you do properties!!
I have tried deleting the file to force windows to create another but vista wont let me!
Any suggestions??
I have already clicked to show hidden files in explorer!

You could try re-regestering it by logging in to Vista with full admin rights, opening the run prompt, typing "regsvr32 accounttracking.dll" without the quotes and then clicking OK. This might make it work. "Might" being the operative word.
EDIT: You have got "show protected system files" enabled in explorer as well as "show hidden files", haven't you? It's in the same settings box.

tried with the command prompt and it said the module could not be found!

Desperate advice needed pleeeeease
My 4yr old laptop has suddenly decided to run soooooooo slowly and now today is taking 15 mins to load, also having problems with it freezing.
I'm guessing the rams just not good enough anymore so I took the back off to see what I have installed and also looked on Play.com BUT I'm totally confused as there's so many different types and I dont know what to buy and the little green ram things inside dont tell me what it is.
Can anyone advise ?? I took pics if that helps !!
I cant really afford a new computer so hopeing it just needs more memory.
Its an AMD athlon 1500+ 1.30GHz running xp with basic ram expandable to 512mb, I know nothing about computers so any help much appreciated.

My memory is expandable to 512mb or so the instruction book says.
I dont think I can re-install xp the original disks that came with it are the recovery ones (I think) so not the full version ??
I really know so little about computers, this was my 1st brand new one bought online from PC world.
I think it's a 256mb upgrade I need I just dont understand all the different types and sizes, pins etc .
Have cleaned up as much as possible and defrag regularly but its getting painful now .
Would have bought a new one if I'd not wasted all my cash on a k850i.

If it's the latter, then it's because one of your config files has become corrupted.
