I will start negotiating with belgian MOBISTAR tomorrow on a GPRS Rate.
Currently tey want 86 € per month, including 50 mb of Data but they seem to be open for a deal.
Could be useful to have an idea how much you pay per month (including how many kb/MB)

25,- Nkr /mb

40$ US for 10 Megabytes (per month) - US Voicestream service
Posted by floatlite
UK £1.20 per MB

Posted by Brisefer
On Proximus in Belgium, it's 20€ / 2MB per month !
A+++
Posted by Rolud
In Switzerland, with Swisscom, we'll pay :
up to 1 MB CHF 0.19 / 10 kB
after 1 MB CHF 0.10 / 10 kB
so it will be CHF 19.- for the 1 MB ($ 11.-) and the CHF 10.- for the following MB ($ 6.-)...
A lot more than the US Voicestream price...!
Switzerland can be very expensive...

Hi I'm from belgium too and i will just add that proximus is to extensive for what they offer they are slow and I think that GPRS is only avaible in Brussels so negociate with Mobistar it will be much better. Des gros voleurs voila ce que Proximus est, payer toujours payer !!!!!!
Posted by GOwin
FREE!
The operator is still testing the service, and they don't know how much to charge us yet
Posted by Brisefer
Salut Jim,

hey do u happen to know the exact coverage of SMART for their GPRS network?
Posted by Perran
I use Comviq's net in Sweden and they charge 49 Swedish kronor, almost 5€/month and that gives you 3Mb of download. But until the end of May it's completely free
Posted by herboan
Just to inform you:
It seems that the best MOBISTAR can offer is 30 € month including 5mb data transfer.
This means 6€ per MB !!!
probably their server is made out of massive gold
Posted by GOwin
Nope, sorry. Why don't you call up customer service?

Is anyone using it.

In Norway, with service provider NetCom, you pay a 50 NKR fee for the first MB every mount, after that 0,025 NKR/KB. ($1 USD ~ 9 NKR)
Posted by solem
Of course I ment month, not mount. That's something else...

In Austria with max.0676 i Pay 7 Euro per Month for 10 MB Web and 100 KB WAP!

Posted by Mastercomilao
In Portugal you pay 0.75€ per/kb and an monthly fee of 4.240€ with Vodafone!
Can you say if this is expensive comparing to your GPRS plans?
Thanks

Ok, maybe I'm wrong but with OmnitelVodafone here in Italy I'll pay (from the 22nd of April because now they're still testing the service) 3 euro cent/Kilobyte ...
I think (if my calculator is not out of order) that I'll have to pay 30,72 euro/Megabyte ...
Am I right or maybe I made some mystakes? ...If I'm right I'm sure that from the 22nd of April I'll stop to use GPRS with my T68!:((( ...I think it's unbelivable ...it will be cheaper for my to use the normal GSM line!!!
Ciao

In the Philippines we are still enjoying free GPRS from Globe Telecomms up to March 31, 2002! After that I was told that we will be billed an additional P300/month (US$6.00/month) for 2 megabytes and about an almost negligible amount per additonal downloaded KB!

Here in Slovenia by Mobitel, you can pay 8.9 Euro for 5 MB per month or you don't need to pay nothig per month and there is 1kB each for 1.5 SIT that would be 0.006 Euro

As it can bee seen on the above table MOBISTAR is amongst the most expensive in their Tariff.
The problem is that no matter how much data you transfer, the monthly fee will always be 86 €.

How sure are you regarding the future charges? Globe CS people couldn't even disclose to me future charges and said that there hasn't been a memo of any future charging plan released to them as of today.

This is what I will have to change to soon.
Now it is the $ 2.99 US for 1 MB but it can only be on the phone.
I'm using this for the time being on the Motorola P280.
When I get my T68i that wil change quick... i'm sure.

It is really expensive I think. Well in the UK it is

Yeah mark I agree with you on that one, what happened to "GPRS being the cost effective way forward"? It is miles cheaper than GSM dial-up but still no where near cheap enough to surf all the time!
