@boba...how come you did'nt go for a Z800...or were you keen on getting a UMTS handset running Symbian?
Posted by JK
Its cool I dont like big phones, but i dig some of the features, the video editor rocks!! if you only used it for b/jacking its still worth it!!
but its still not really my style of phone!

Awesome handset, especially with the option of if there's no 3G signal you can still pick up EDGE, data speed to me is very important, disappointed on the memory side as I still have my P910i and I'm used to downloading stuff more than 8 to 10megs at a time, overall I will give it a 8 out of 10.

Dont let anyone tell you to buy a stupid z800.Its good that you got a smartphone.

Dont like clamshall fones, i am not a nokia fan, but i do respect its features. The cam slider and keypad is pretty poor and childish design imo.

Boba, its a very capable phone. Make sure you load it with useful apps...hows the cam btw? And why didn't you consider the K600?
Posted by Mondeoman
Im very happy with my 6680.All of its software works well except the pdf viewer which iv removed and will install again when iv got a min.The slide down cam cover could have been better.it wobbles whilst up so iv got it in the open position. Dont suppose anything is totally perfect ha ha.

How is the wireless keyboard? Has sy got one?
Posted by BobaFett
@whizz k6 doesnt fit my needs, nothing special imo. cam is ok, but i dont really interested in pix. @all how is the batt performance at u?
Posted by whizkidd
I agree wit you boba, given a choice, i'd pick the 6680 over the k6.....as the former suits my needs more.
plz when do we get to see 3g smartphones?
Posted by Residentevil
Boba you disappointed me. A Nokia?
Posted by whizkidd
@evil, is Nokia THAT bad?
Posted by BobaFett
@resident gimme a serious umts se fone and i go for it....

@boba do you prefer a normal 3g phone or a 3g smartphone? And what do you use your 6680 mainly for? Have you installed netfront and opera browsers? And there is a software for auto key lock. Its called jjl keylock.
Posted by BobaFett
i use it mainly for emails and surfing here. dont need or use opera, dont even know whats that good for, never had it. and i need many mb for my project.
Posted by whizkidd
Ok. Go to www.opera.com from the "web" menu and download opera browser for your phone. Its free for the 6680. You can access any html site then.

I had a 6680 on the three network about 2 weeks ago. I sent it back though cos orange changed their minds about the upgrade deal they were offering me (K750i should be arriving soon!). I found that it didn't have a few handy things that i have liked on my previous SE phones (like the last message recipients list, auto keylock, phone lock code, and the neater menus) and was a bit slow at doing stuff (i guess this is because it is running a full os and opening apps to do stuff), also i found that most symbian apps i installed on it didn't work properly because they were for older versions of the OS or series 60. The camera slider was a bit fragile as well and actually caused slight scratch marks on the silver ring that surrounds the lens. It is also a bit bigger than i like my phones to be, but i could forgive that cos it was a smartphone and 3G, and is actually quite small for both of these types of device. battery was OK for a 3G handset too.
On the plus side, the screen is great, its huge! smartphone features were nice too (I don't use any apps that you can't get in java versions anyway though so this wasn't very important to me, but might be to others), it was well built (appart from the camera slider thing). It also had a reallly cool feature of being able to cut and paste any text (SE take note please). Camera was quite good even with 6X zoom (but not up to k750 standard by any stretch). 3G speeds were nice too. starngely it has no infra red though, and the bluetooth didn't support a virtual serial cable profile.
Basically it was quite a nice phone, and i guess if you want a smartphone or 3G phone or both, it is probably a very good choice (but i have never used a z800/v800 so i don't know if its better or not). I personally just prefer small phones with good battery and lots of high tech stuff cramed into a single small case (like the k750i), and i only got the 6680 on 3 network cos it was the best phone they had. but thats just my personal prefference.

Is that normal that batt can be fully charged in 1.5 h? How many mah batt has it?
Posted by BobaFett
finally know the answer, 900 mah batt, could be more imo. its wayto weak ccording the features and the size of display.
Posted by BobaFett
I use now the wireless keyboard with the fone, its a great thing! Very comfortable and way easier to write emails, surf etc
Posted by whizkidd
Boba, is the keyboard compatible with other bluetooth enabled phones? And did you get it with the phone or bought it seperately? And for how much?
Posted by BobaFett
it works only with the 66 series as i remember. i payed 135 euro.
Posted by BobaFett
Am i the only one with that fone? If any of u have some games or interesting apps, pls mail to me, the add is in the first post in the /// forum. Tia
