Possible in some firmware versions...and not possible in others.....PLs check the K700/k500 firmware thread for details

Posted by Qoastro
This has been asked several times before. It's only poossible to remove the shuttersound on older phones to prevent "sneak-shots" and such things.

Use the search and you'll find numerous topics about this subject and you'll find everything you need to know

Take care!

What is meant by Firmware & Threads? I don't know because I am a New User.

Posted by mrao
Firmware is the core software inside a phone which makes it work....
Click on the link I have provided below, which will take you to a detauiled thread on the firmware versions for the k700

How to Upgrade / Update My Firmware of Sony Ericsson K-700i ?

Posted by usman_jamil
Can Anyone Guide Me in Detail, Please.

Posted by Cornholio_666
you need a dss-25 or dss-20 sync station and the drivers installed on your computer. then go to the Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS) on the website.

How Do I Do it in Islamabad, Pakistan. Can Anyone Guide Me in Detail, Please.

Posted by mrao
I would advise you to take the phone to a service centre and ask them to update the firmware....Islamabad is one of the metros in Pakistan, so there would surely be a service centre there....Or you can go to the SE website and check for the contact details of authorized service centres in Islamabad

Other than that, Is there Any Software Application which could be Downloaded? Because, My Friend is Using a Nokia 6630 & He Also Wants that Kind of Software Application.

Posted by mrao
Aah....the 6630 is a S60 symbian OS phone.....so there will be lots of applications available for it....ask him to check out the s60 section at http://www.my-symbian.com

just mute the phone (silent mode)

Posted by riksox
Silent mode doesnt work in most versions.. The only trick that worked is to make a call (some free number), and open the lens cover while calling.

The call will mute the sound.

Posted by usman_jamil
Silent Mode Does Not Work in Sony Ericsson K-700i.

The Only Trick that Really Worked is to Make a Call (On a Free Number) & Take a Picture / Snap. The Call Will Mute the Sound of the Camera.

How Do You Know About All the Mobiles & Their Softwares / Firmwares?

Is there any Problem in Using HandsFree in Sony Ericsson K-700i?

Posted by usman_jamil
My Friend Told Me Not to Use Original HandsFree of Sony Ericsson K-700i with Sony Ericsson K-700i Because the HandsFree & its Speakers Will Not Work Properly After Several Use.

Posted by usman_jamil
It is a Very Serious Issue...

Posted by usman_jamil
Why Always a Sony Ericsson Charger or a Sony Ericsson HandsFree Starts giving Problems after a Few Months?

I had a Sony Ericsson T-100 Before Sony Ericsson K-700i & Both the Chargesr & HandsFree were Useless after a Few Months.

Posted by usman_jamil
Its Not that the HandsFree Breaks. The HandsFree Just Stops Working.

The Recommendation is to Use an Ordinary HandsFree Instead of the Original Sony Ericsson HandsFree.

After a Few Months I was Unable to Use Any HandsFree of Sony Ericsson on My Sony Ericsson T-100.

Any Pakistani Out There???

you'll get the hang of it

Why do I feel a bit of deja vu here?

The camera click issue is beyond firmware. Only the first few releases of the K700i in certain areas are capable of muting the camera clicking sound when the phone is muted.

Posted by max_wedge
blackspot, I hear ya. They can always use a hammer to shut it up if they're that desperate!

Iv never seen sum1 post so many posts in a row!!
