I can say the new display is nice but its not "super high quality". For example its only 8 bit panel + 2 bit software dithering, not true 10 bit. And the "BRAVIA" stuff are just a piece of software from the beginning, there is no chip or so whatever  If they want they can slap it on even cheapest 10 or Ace series with minimal effort, but noooo because selling point

Have you seen prices of iphones outside USA/Canada/Europe/Japan? It is pro-i level. I remember 12 or 13 Pro Max 128GB arrived here for equivalent $2000, the 128GB variant.
In India, Iphone 14 128GB was about $1500 back then.
Much cheaper screen (that I bet it costs half of previous) , but not even Gorilla Armor on it? 😒
So, what was point of killing 5 series if 10 series has not become any better? I knew battery emdurance would be lower, no chip can compete against 695 at this. Motorola G34 has it paired with 720p display, must be 3 days of heavy use.
where is ace 4 ?

At least photo controls of photo pro are still there. But video got extremely nerfed looks like.
An absurd from company that considers it tool of content creation.
The undead that have not disappeared on weibo:

Anyone who wondered why photos taken in Pro mode are blowing out highlights unlike those shot in Photo mode, well in order to enable HDR-Auto mode you need to disable AI Features OFF. That's just something I noticed by looking at the sample pieces.

It's also been confirmed both phones won't be released in US seems like sony is gradually withdrawing from global markets but I have a feeling this will be a success in asia can't say about europe |

reddit has too much insanity. The r/android is by far one of the worst. Mainly mods, they ban you for saying negative stuff about samsung phones.
People there think any OEM can surely burn money to offer 6-7 android versions, they ignore samsung mobile alone has almost same revenue of whole sony corp.
they think if phone that costs $1200 gets sold for $700 instead, then sales would magically increase 200% at least. If reddit demanded age verification to get rid of teens, that environment would be 100x better. Teens are too toxic. |

Sustained performance in GSMArena review is bad, so vapor chamber seems like it doesn't work.
Screen is fhd but it's not the brightest. Isnt Samsung 24+ at the exact same diagonal with QHD? So they make that display. Sony chose lower res. Ok it's good battery but at this ppi why not use ud fps.
The ai camera seems identical to mark v. I'm sure 2x on th v would be the same after an update. The zoom and macro which are great additions but seems like it's not enough. GSMArena didn't even comment on the macro performance.
Speakers finally sound good enough to justify bezels.
When it comes to 10vi i don't get why people like it. İt is the same phone from last year without a main cam upgrade and a loss of a tele lens.
Lastly Sony should send other colors for review. They say 10vi has translucent back which I liked since Xperia A2 or something. But the black unit doesn't show it.
No wonder they make 4x profit. They release late, downgrade components, use left over pieces and keep prices high. I mean duh it makes sense for them but it's still a hard to recommend for general public |
